RITA HYNES St. Andrew’s, NL Jan. 28, 1921 - Feb. 19, 2009 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rita Hynes announce her passing at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port Aux Basques on Thursday, February 19th, 2009 at the age of 88 years. She was born in Belloram, NL, the daughter of Lydia Valis and Philip Poole. She is survived by her husband Leonard Hynes of St. Andrew’s, Codroy Valley; children: Kevin Hynes, Leo Hynes, Jean Hynes, Margaret Dominie, Karl Hynes, Brian Hynes, Marlene Hynes, Patti LaClair, Doug Hynes, Glen Hynes, Georgina Hopkins and Pamela Dominie; 29 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Lydia Valis and Philip Poole and her son William Hynes. Friends visited Precious Blood RC Church in St. Andrew’s on Saturday evening and Sunday, from where the Funeral Service took place on Tuesday, February 24th at 10:30 a.m. Father Lee Lainey officiated. Cremation followed at Humber Valley Crematorium in Pasadena. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port Aux Basques. "She will be forever in our thoughts"
