Well, Peter is gone...the last of his generation. He was a darn good man, a happy man, a good friend, a fine Uncle. Truly, a gentle man. Peter spend many happy times with my family and myself. Through my youth and adult years Peter sat at our table for almost every family celebration. He was fully a part of our family. There are happy memories of Peter's many visits with us. High on the list was his visit during the occasion of the birth of our sons, including his unannounced attendance at the hospital for the birth. It is a sad day. Rest in peace Peter. Ned Murphy and family.

I worked with Peter at the bus depot up until he retired .A Very pleasant well liked Gentleman .He would always stop and chat when he was out around .I never saw him much in these last few yrs .I remember being ahead of him going up ALS hill on O’Connell Drive in our buses .He would be saying hurry up LeDrew before I lose speed and have to downshift haha some fond memories Peter .Rip my Friend Godspeed !

It is with sadness we mourn the passing of ‘Uncle Peter’. As the oldest of Jack’s boys, Peter was many times the older brother I sometimes needed, always there to help me navigate the trouble I had found or providing guidance on what to do next. He was closest in age to my brothers and I, and we spent so much quality time with him over the years. He was always just a stones throw away from us and we always knew Peter was there for us. Generous, happy and loving are the qualities he embodied. Evelyn and I are so happy we were able to spend some time with him this past summer, to see his joyful smile and hearty laugh. Uncle Peter, you will be never be forgotten. All our love to Verna, Winnie and David, as you mourn his passing and celebrate his life. Love, Bob, Evelyn, Jennifer, Lori and Stephen

When working at Mountain View Retirement Centre, I got to know Peter very well. Peter was known for his smile and his hello. He was a kind gentle man and he loved his dances. Whenever there was a dance at the home, you could be sure to see Peter there anxiously waiting for the staff to ask him for a dance. Peter took in all church service, he never missed one. He was a jolly and polite man. My thoughts and Prayers go to the family. Rest in peace Peter, keep those shoes tapping.

It is with such sadness and yet great memories I received the news of Peter's passing last evening. In the past 24 hours, I've relived the time I spent knowing Peter through his good times and bad times. Peter, who would have ever guessed you would be the lone survivor of your huge family. You spent a lot of time with us as part of my family and on a one to one basis. We shared so many birthdays and special occasions together. You spent some of your vacations with us while we moved across the country and always laughed about the silly things in life. As you would often say " if you can't laugh at yourself", your not living. Well, my friend your lived large. I look at your photo and see all of your brothers in you. Verna, Winnie and David, Peter loved you as if you were his own. Peter was loyal to a fault. Peter, may you find peace in your afterlife as you did in this life. It is with great sadness that I hear of Peters passing. We were next door neighbors for more then 30 years. A finer Gentleman you would never meet. Rest in peace. God Bless . Derek Sheppard.
