Violet Mary (May) Pye St. George’s, NL May 23, 1925 – Jan. 25, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Violet Mary (May) Pye (nee Ryan) announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center, Stephenville Crossing, NL surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the age of 94 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Fred, Kevin (Marriet), Herbert, Dianne, Darlene, Tom (Darlene), Harold (Corina), Joanne (Doug); 18 grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; brother Cecil (Mary) Ryan; sister Lillian Anderson; sister-in-law Joan Summers; son-in-law Robert Garnier. She also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Rose Ryan; husband Herb; children: Malinda, Myron, Jerry; great-grandson Michael; sisters: Grace, Josie, Theresa, Mildred; brothers: Raymond, David, Wilfred Jr. and Jimmy. Visitation will take place at St. Joseph’s Church, St. George’s on Monday, January 27, 2020 between the hours of 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. from where the funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 10 a.m. with Father Edmund Dantes officiating followed by the interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Court House Road, St. George’s. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at STRH and BSGLTCC for their care and compassion during our mother’s illness.
