Josephine LaCosta Corner Brook, NL June 2, 1940 – January 26, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Josephine LaCosta announce her passing on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Corner Brook Long Term Care at the age of 79 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons: Harold (Sarah), Fredericton, NB and Mark (Beverly), Corner Brook; grandchildren: Daniel (Kate), Kendall, Madison, Gregory and Nicholas; great-grandchildren: Harrison and Emma; sisters-in-law: Sadie Tudjan, Calgary, Alberta and Mary LaCosta, Campbells Creek; brother-in-law John Vogal, Nebraska, USA; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Mercier (2019), sisters and brothers-in-law Ann, James, Stanley, Harold, Bart, Bernard, Margaret, Alphonsus, Rory, Mena, Theresa, Kathleen, Isobel and John. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mount Bernard Avenue. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expression s of sympathy, donations may be made to Corner Brook Long Term Care, Autism Society (Western) or the Diabetic Association.
