Agnes Jane Payne Corner Brook, NL September 17, 1946 - January 27, 2020 It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Agnes (Aggie) Payne announce her passing at Long Term Care, surrounded by family, on January 27, 2020 at the age of 73 years. She will be greatly missed by many family and friends including her children Phyllis Payne and Brian Hynes (Michelle); her mother Evangeline Payne; her sister Dianne (John) Sweetapple; her brothers Grant (Ella), Cyril (Sandra), Milton (Amanda) and Ingraham (Suzanne); nieces and nephews: Jeff, Sheldon, Michael, Cherie, Robin, Rochelle, Heather, Julie, Bradley and Jeremy and her pride and joy – her cat Cassandra. Aggie was predeceased by her father Leonard Payne. Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Mark’s Avenue on Wednesday from the hours of 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel on Thursday, January 30 at 2:00 p.m. with Archdeacon Ed King officiating. The family would like to thank the staff of 3A and Women’s & Children's floor at WMRH, and 3 North, Long Term Care as well as Dr. Pieroway, and Dr. Westby. Aggie loved her family, always first to laugh at family gatherings, and had a special love for her cats. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request. Memorial donations can be made to the SPCA in Aggie’s memory.
