Gertrude Earle (nee Cole) Corner Brook, NL November 27, 1926 – January 31, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gertrude Earle announce her passing on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Corner Brook Long Term Care in Corner Brook at the age of 93 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Phyllis (Fred) Coleman, Doreen Hatcher, Shirley (Austin) Greene, Sharon (Wayne) Kirkland, Brian (Pat) Earle, Mary (Alban) Quilty, Monty (Eileen) Earle and Sandra Earle; daughter-in-law Shirley Earle; 24 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brother Robert Cole; sisters and brothers-in-law: Clara Thomas, Blanche Kelly, Phonse (Rachel) Earle, Anne Cave, Kay Cole and Eva George; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Clyde Earle, baby girl Sandra, sons Bruce and Randy Earle, son-in-law Derek Hatcher, parents Moses and Cicly Cole, brother Herbert Cole, sisters Mary Mullins, Phyllis Bain, Linda Cassar and Shirley Pond. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 4 at 2:00 p.m. from Oakland United Church, Oakes Road with Rev. Alice Moores officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
