It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nathan Jack Lodge announce his passing on Friday, March 6th, 2009 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 69 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Daphne, daughter Darlene (Jim) Tuff, sisters: Nellie Mews, St. John’s and Mildred (Eric) Bowridge, Deer Lake; brothers: Hayward (June) Lodge, Port Union and Gilbert (Marilyn), Greenwood, NS; brother-in-law Harrison Blackmore, Ontario; two very special Georgina and Wilson Barnes, Grand Falls, special friends Shirley and Dennis Gaslard. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and fellow Lions and Lionesses. He was predeceased by his parents Mark and Sarah Lodge, brothers Harold and Donald, sisters Ruth, Margaret and sister Mabel who passed away 1 hour prior to Jack’s passing, brother-in-law Sam Mews, sisters-in-law Joyce, Audrey Lodge and Audrey Gale, parents-in-law William and Emily Cooper. The family will be receiving friends at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix on Saturday and Sunday. The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 9th at 2:00 PM from St. Thomas Beckett Anglican Church, Port au Choix with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment to follow at the Interfaith Cemetery, Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Lions Club in support of the Daffodil Place.
