HELEN MAUD BURRY CORNER BROOK, NL January 03, 1939 - February 04, 2020 With deep sadness Helen’s family announce her death on February 04, 2020. She was tenderly cared for at home until her final days by her devoted family. She passed peacefully away on the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Hospital. Heartfelt thanks to the staff for all the caring and gentle help she received while there. Helen was born in Wesleyville, Bonavista Bay and always loved her birthplace making her last trip down memory lane in September 2018. A cottage by the sea looking out on the harbour full of colourful fishing boats was one of her loves. Missing her badly are her sisters, Ruby and Louise, her brother Al, sister in-law Edith, brothers in law George Dunphy and Terry Poole and her nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbours who will miss her in her garden. Helen was comforted to the end by her darling loyal companion, Princess, who was a most welcome visitor to the 4th floor Chemo Unit and brought a smile to both patients and staff. Princess was by her side through the whole of Helen’s end of life journey and will now be making her new home in B.C. with Louise and dog buddies, Pink, Chula and Brook. As was her request Helen was cremated and there will be no service. Her wish was to have any donation we wish to make be given to the SPCA in Corner Brook or Western Memorial Hospital.
