It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joan Butt announce her passing on Sunday, December 26th, 2004 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 69 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: her husband of 43 years, Raymond; one daughter: Vicky Rideout (Donald), Corner Brook; three sons: Douglas (Kathleen), Mt. Moriah, Blair (Natalie), Surrey, BC, and Bradley (Tracy), Mt. Moriah; eight precious grandchildren: Stephen, D.J., Katie, Kody, Kaylee, Sarah, Holly and Taylor; special family friend Peggy Brake, Corner Brook; four sisters: Doris Parsons, Olive Toope (Douglas), Mt. Moriah, Joyce Hennigar (Paul), Newmarket, ON, and Christina Pelley (Lloyd), Bonne Bay Pond; five brothers: Donald (Joyce), William (Mary Jo), John (Dorothy), Eric (Lana), Mt. Moriah and George (Patricia), Petries; four sisters-in-law: Lida Perrett, Josephine Perrett, Philomena Butt and Marion Butt, all residing in Mt. Moriah; one brother- in-law: Gordon Butt, Mt. Moriah; special aunt and uncle: Alma and Jim Allen and Bob and Melissa Allen, Petries, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Bessie Perrett, brothers: Thomas, Ralph and Bernard. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 29th at 2:00 p.m. from Curling Memorial United Church, Mrs. Mary Brenson officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Receiving Chapel. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Janeway Children's Hospital, The Palliative Care Unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital or the Curling Memorial United Church.
