It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of the late Valcie Maxwell announce her passing on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 89 years. Leaving to mourn with cherished and loving memories her children: Terry (Jocelyn), Brian, Pauline, and Darlene (Herb) Johnson; grandchildren: Terri Jane, Matthew (Lindsay), Jason, and Brandon; great- grandchild Halle; sister Kerry Leggo; and a circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Roy Maxwell; parents Maude and Wallace Hiscock and parents in-law John and Gertrude Maxwell; brother Harvey (Bud) Hiscock, sister Lorraine (Freeman) Hutchings; nephews Ernie, Paul and Rodney Hutchings; brothers-in-law: William, Frank, Leslie, John (Minto) Maxwell and Russell (Bud) Leggo; sisters-in-law: Phyllis, Mabel (Campbell), Grace, Margaret, Mabel (Maxwell) and Sandra (Sandy) Hiscock. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. O’Driscoll for his exemplary care as her family physician over the years and to the staff at Long Term Care South for their compassion and loving care of our mother.
Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Monday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held from Fillatre's Chapel 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Tuesday, February 18 at 2:00 p.m. with Archbishop Stewart Payne officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. Flowers are graciously accepted or a donation can be made to the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation.
