It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gilbert Hann announce his sudden passing at his home on Friday, February 21st, 2020 at the age of 80 years. Gilbert leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 55 years, Hilda; three children, Derek (Sylvia), Noreen (JR) and Sandra (Brent); grandchildren: Nicole (Mike), Alicia (Andrew), Dylan (Marie) and Jordan (Katie); great grandchildren, Peyton, Landon and Shaylee; as well as brothers Aubrey (Marion), Cyril (Eileen) and sisters Eileen and Barbara (Clayton); as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John and Elizabeth Hann, brothers Cecil, Ken and Martin, sisters Edna, Pearl and Lucy. Friends and family may visit St. John the Evangelist Anglican church in Burgeo on Saturday, 7-9 pm and on and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9:pm., from where the funeral will be held on Monday, February 24th at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Elsie Rose officiating. The interment will follow at the Burgeo Community Cemetery.
