It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alfred Darious Powell (Roy) announce his passing on February 25, 2020 at the Labrador Grenfell Health Center at the age of 77 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Ruth Powell; children Steve(Tracey), Jonathan(Karen), Nellie (Dennis) Bernard (Dianne),Dave (Sandra), Emily(Reginald); Grandchildren: Kenneth, Reggie, Melissa, Carter, Jonathan, Phillip, Diana, Krystal, Andy, Cory, Cody, Colby, Aminda; sisters: Eileen Quintin (Ed), Ida Collins (Art) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 2, 2020 from the United Church Happy Valley-Goose Bay at 11:00 AM with a luncheon to follow. Flowers and donations can be dropped off Monday at the Church. Special thanks to emergency room staff at Labrador Grenfell Health; Fillatre's Funeral Home and to the ladies of the United Church.
