It is with great sadness that the family of Lawrence Patey of Hawkes Bay, announces his passing at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre, Port Saunders on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the age of 87 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Helen, daughter Lisa (Cliff), son Lawrence Jr., grandson Aaron (Shinara), great grandchildren: Landon House, Courtlynn House; sisters: Yvonne House, Leila (Henry) Anthony, Mona Davis, Jenny Styles (Glen), and Madonna (Ray) House; brothers Barry (Shirley) Styles, Dennis (Trudy) Styles and special friend Wayne Evely; sisters-in-law: Lila Rumbolt, Marlene Maynard,; brothers-in-law: Art (Linda) Offrey, Granville (Dianne) Offrey, Murray (Mary) Offrey, Joseph (Hilda) Lavers; special nephews: Clinton & Trenton Rumbolt; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by parents Hubert & Caroline Patey; sisters: Laverne Hoddinott, Rita Perry, Edith Mouland; son-in-law Craig House; grandson Andre House; brothers-in-law: Louis Mouland, Edgar House,Lozng Perry, Gerald Davis, Robert Offrey, Wilson Lavers; sister-in-law Faye Styles and niece Marilyn Coles. Visitation will take place at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Hawkes Bay Friday, February 28th 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM with family service Friday at 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be at the church on Saturday at 2:00 PM followed by interment at the Pentecostal Cemetery River of Ponds; officiating clergy Pastor Troy Russell. Family and friends may sign the guest book and leave messages of condolence by visiting this website. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of ones' choice.
