Diane Marie Curtis Jackson’s Arm, NL It is with great privilege that we celebrate the life of Diane Marie Curtis (nee Smith), who passed away peacefully, surrounded by family after a short but courageous battle with cancer in her 66th year. She leaves behind son Marc (Sherry), St. John's; daughter Melanie (Damien) Jackson's Arm; grandchildren Jamie, Landen, Zander, Wyatt, Waylon, and Finn; siblings Alan (Christine), Wayne (Katie), Linda, David (Wanda), Susan (Jerome), Sharon, and Karen (Eric), sister in law Barbara (Jim), as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews, other relatives, special friends, and former students and colleagues. She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd Curtis, parents Hedley and Florence Smith and in laws Edmund and Belle Curtis. As per Diane's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be an open house celebration at Martabella Bnb, Jackson's Arm on Tuesday March 3rd 2-6 p.m. Diane will be greatly missed. Friends and family will take comfort in knowing how much Diane truly loved life. She had a heart of immeasurable size, a smile that rarely left her face, she danced, sang, picked you up, calmed you down, taught with enthusiasm, continued to learn, worked hard but knew how to relax, soaked in the view and always found a way to be "just peachy." Diane grew up in a family she loved, admired her siblings and found a way to make each one feel like her favourite, she found her soulmate, raised her children with pride, and adored her grandchildren. Now we have to say goodbye but we will forever remember the amazing, beautiful person who is our Diane.
