Helena Frances Patry Lochleven, NL June 23, 1947 – March 3, 2020 It is with much sadness that the family of the late Helena Frances Patry (nee Downey) of Lochleven announce her passing on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center in Stephenville Crossing at the age of 72. Helena will be sadly missed by her husband of 30 years Alfred Patry. She also leaves to mourn her three brothers: Gerald, John, Walter (Emmie); sisters-in-law: Debbie Downey, Catherine (Richard), Ann (David); brothers-in-law: Leonard (Mary), Leo (Brenda), Edwin (Martha), Father Gerard, Patrick (Sharon) and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Alexander & Margaret Downey; sisters: Maude, Bride, Marie, Rita; brothers: Richard, Albert, Vincent, Frank; mother and father-in-law Laurier and Marie Patry. To honour and respect Helena’s wishes cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium, Pasadena, NL. Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 8, 2020 between the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:30 – 9:00 p.m from St. Columcille Parish in St. Fintan’s, NL. The funeral mass will take place on Friday, July 24, 2020 from St. Columcille Parish, St. Fintan's, NL at 2:00 p.m. with Father Gerard Patry officiating. Inurnment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery will take place following the Service. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Columcille Parish Memorial Fund or a Charity of Ones’ Choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
