Pennell Harvey “Lorne” Benoits Cove, NL November 20, 1934 – April 8, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harvey Lorne Pennell announce his passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre on Wednesday, April 8th, 2020 at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his loving wife of 59 years Mary (nee Matthews) at Bayshore Estates in Irishtown; children: Clarence (Tina), McIvers, Peter (Yolanda), Benoits Cove; Grandchildren: Jonathon (Paula), Stephen, Renee, Chloe and Annie; Great-grandchildren: Nevaeh, Alexia and Lucas; brother Roy; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Bryant and Emma Pennell, sisters Doreen, Pauline and Mary. The family would like to give a special Thank you to Dr. Kim Gunson for the many years of care she provided to Lorne. Also a special thank you to the staff at Bayshore Estates and staff on 3 South at the Long Term Care, your hard dedicated work will never be forgotten, God Bless you all. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Granting his wishes, cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, August 28th, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre's Funeral Home Chapel, 4 St. Marks Avenue with Reverend Malcolm Palmer officiating.
