Please share a memory of Manson to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Surrounded by his family, on Friday, April 10, 2020 the Lord called Manson home at the age of 79 years. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 57 years Ruby Elson and his children Craig (Jody) Elson, Janice (Robert) Reid, Sharon (Larry) MacNabb and Tanya (Dwayne) Randell. His grandchildren Jordan (Ashley), Joshua, Andrew (Amanda), Nicholas (Ally), Gavin, Ryan, Zachary, Kaden and Karly will miss his sense of humour, conversations and youthfulness. Manson will be remembered fondly and missed by his many nephews and nieces, extended family members and many friends. He is predeceased by his parents Mark and Lucy Elson, brothers Baxter, Donald and Harry, Mother and Father-in-law Fred and Joyce White, brother-in-law Woodrow White.
Manson was a man of deep faith who loved his family immensely, fellowship with friends, and his church family. You would often hear him saying ‘it’s all in God’s hands; He has control.’ He was never one to sit around for long and always had a project in the works for ‘something to do’ in his retirement. You would see him with a smile on his face and a paint brush or hammer in his hand to help whoever needed it. He enjoyed good conversation and you would see him in church without fail on Sunday mornings - greeting everyone . He touched everyone he knew and will be deeply missed.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, with a special thankyou to nurses Alison, Lori, Lesley with the ICU staff for their care and compassion to Manson and his family. They would also like to thank Pastor Soper for his support and prayers.
Due to COVID-19 no funeral service will take place at this time. To honor and respect Manson’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date when we are all able to gather together.
