Rodney Leon Blanchard McIvers, NL May 8, 1929 – April 14, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rodney Leon Blanchard announce his passing on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Corner Brook Long Term Care in his 91st year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Dale (Wallace), McIvers, Judith (Marvin), Cox’s Cove, Rick (Delphine), McIvers, Ken (Debbie), Cox’s Cove, Carl (Angela), Brampton, Ont. and Michael, McIvers; grandchildren: Paulette (Lloyd), Wally (Brenda), Robby (Mandy), Shawna (Steve), Sandra (Mitchel), Mandy (John), Paula (Chad), Zachary, Dianna (Jamie), Erica, Rodney, Kayla, Laura and Lisa; great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Holly, Noah, Rachel, Nathan (Angel), Braydon, Paige, Daniel, Hannah, Sarah, Cassie, Katie, Katherine and Jade; great-great-grandson Chase; friends: Tina Hutchings, Wade Pack, Cal, Warren; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Mona (2012), daughters Marie and Arlene, son Gary, parents Luke and Laveniah Blanchard, brothers Hubert, Lawrence and Russell, sisters Dulcie, Phoebe, Violet, Floss and Rita. Thanks to the staff at 5th floor at Western Memorial Regional Hospital and staff at 4th floor, Long Term care for their help and kindness to our father. Due to COVID-19 Government restrictions, a private viewing for immediate family will take place, with interment at the Anglican Cemetery in McIvers, officiated by Rev. Malcolm Palmer. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Epiphany Anglican Church, McIvers.
