Clifford was a teacher, a carpenter, a fisherman, a fishplant worker, a loving husband and dear father, and a faithful friend to all that knew him. He will forever be remembered for his love of family. Clifford's love for his wife, Hazel, was unwavering and they were never far from one another. He worked hard, his big 'ole hands worked tirelessly to provide for his family and keep them all together, he even moved them from one province to the neighbouring province to keep them all together through their schooling years. Clifford enjoyed hunting and fishing and always looked forward to the moose hunting trips in the fall with his boys, the highlight of his year. Dad has left an everlasting footprint in our lives with so many wonderful memories to treasure and he was sure to let everyone know about his beautiful family and his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs....he sure was a true fan!
The family would like to offer a heartfelt and special THANK YOU to all of his care workers, especially staff at the Long Term Care facility in Forteau, who not only provided personal care but also love and support to him and his family during the ongoing COVID19 pandemic. A special thank you to the staff at the Long Term Care home in Goose Bay, where he resided for 19 months prior, for the wonderful care and support provided; and thank you to Fillatre's Funeral Home for your guidance and professionalism.
Due to the current regulations, a short private family viewing has already taken place and burial is planned, following protocol, allowing only four family members and officiant to attend. A Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date.
