It is with great sadness that the family of the late Anne Battcock announce her passing on April 27, 2020
at the Long Term Care Facility in Happy Valley-Goose Bay at the age of 89 years.
She was pre-deceased by her Husband (Edward), eldest son (Wayne), parents (Arthur Power; Mary Power)
sisters (Katherine; Loretta) and her brother Harold.
She will be forever loved and missed by her children: Judy (Gordie), Tony, Randy (Stephanie), Ann-Marie
(Allan), Sheila (Woody), Eddie (Sandra), Wanda, Mary Lou (Bert), and Holly (Dave). 20 Grandchildren:
Joseph, Kim, Terri, Cassandra, Janine, Blair, Brandy, Sonny, Wayne, Chantelle, Aimee, Kyla, Amber,
Jenna, Lorne, Logan, Haley, Tye, Riley, and Nicholas and 20 great grandchildren. Also mourning her loss
is her sister Aggie Hartery and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Anne was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family….they were her everything. She was
quiet, kind, and unselfish. Loved her trips to the ballfield, going to church, picking berries, and family
gatherings. In her later years, she developed Dementia and this disease changed her world. She
became known for her baby doll Suzie and her laps in the long term care.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of the Labrador Grenfell Long Term
Care Facility for their kindness and compassion towards Mom during her stay. A special thank you to
her niece Diane for her compassionate care with Mom.
Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium, Pasadena, NL. A funeral service and
interment will take place at a later date due to the COVID-19 restrictions. As expressions of sympathy
donations may be made to the Helping Hands committee in Goose Bay.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions,there will be a private family service on June 2nd, followed by a private burial.
