Marguerite Frances Tourout Piccadilly, NL Feb. 8, 1938 – Apr. 30, 2020 Marguerite Frances Tourout (nee: Skinner) was born in Lourdes, NL and passed peacefully away, surrounded by her loved ones, on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at her family home in Piccadilly, NL. A loving mother of 10 children: Glenda (Glenn) Benoit, Douglas Tourout, Remona Hynes, Richard (Riza) Tourout, Catherine Tourout all of Piccadilly, NL, Parthena (Damien) Flynn of West Bay, NL, June (Joey) Woods of Kitchener, ON, Robert (Florence) Tourout of Felix Cove, NL. She was an amazing mother, mother-in-law, friend, grandmother and second mom to 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild to whom she was kind, giving, nurturing and selfless. Her favorite activities were cooking for her family, playing Rummoli, darts and bingo. She was also known for her special soup and sweets for many events. She was well known in the community as Charlie Brown. Marguerite was an amazing woman with an enormous heart and a special smile for everyone. She volunteered for, and contributed to, many community events including fall fair, annual garden parties, fundraising efforts and church functions. She was generous and giving. Always willing to help those around. She worked at National Sea for 15 years and Clear Water Fisheries for 15 years as head office clerk. Left to mourn are Marguerite’s brothers: Leo, George; sisters: Anita, Bride, a large extended family and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband John Tourout; parents Alex and Marguerite Skinner; brothers Alex, Henry; sister Mary; grandson Jamie; children: baby Gordon and baby girl Tourout. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium, Pasadena, NL. Funeral and burial services will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangement have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
