It is with sadden hearts that the family of the late Ruth Deloris Hutchings (nee Taylor) announce her sudden passing on Friday, May 1, 2020 at the age of 71 years, at the Long Term Care Facility in Corner Brook. Ruth had a beautiful caring soul and loved her family with all her heart. She will be forever loved and greatly missed by her loving husband Melvin Hutchings; daughter Sonya (Steve) Griffiths; sons Jason (Christine) Hutchings; granddaughters: Nikki (Adam) and Emily Hutchings; grandsons: Brandon (Natasha) and Stephen (Christy) Hutchings; great-grandson Issac Vincent; step-grandchildren: Graydon, Olivia and Jayde Griffiths; brothers: Calvin (June) Taylor, Eric (Carolyn) Taylor, Perry (Sharon) Taylor, Phil Taylor and Brian (Lori) Taylor; sisters: Sheila Temple and Pauline (Foster) George and all her many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends loved her dearly. She was predeceased by her mother and father Ena and Dick Taylor, siblings Donald Taylor, Clara Whittle and Rally Taylor, her precious granddaughter Kayla Hutchings, niece Tanya Wight, nephews Bruce Taylor and Dennis Taylor. The Hutchings family would like to extend their upmost appreciation to all the loving staff at LTC (RCU) that not only provided her with the best care but who spent time comforting and consoling her when her family was unable to be with her. Also to her sister-in-law June Taylor who helped her family at a time it was needed the most. Special thank you to Paul (Sharon) Companion for providing meals, guidance and companionship to Melvin during his difficult time. Cremation has taken place. A Private family viewing will be held at Fillatre's Funeral Home, St. Mark's Avenue with a private family service at Fillatre's Funeral Chapel, St. Mark's Avenue on Friday, June 12 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
