Very sorry to hear of Terrys passing.My Dad Bob worked for Terry at Star taxi in early days off and on in 60s ,70s, and 80s until he himself passed in 1986 He drove one of Terrys many company cars in the 60s .Later in the 70s he put on his own cab .I used to hang around at the taxi stand sometimes with my Dad when margie rideout was dispatch there . Poppy pye would be around in those days on occasion .Around 1983 i started driving for my dad till 1986 . Dad and Terry were good friends and my mom and dad would visit Terry and Gwen on occasion on humber park .My memories of Terry was him being a kind soft spoken gentleman .I’m sure you have many treasured memories of your Dad hold them dear to your hearts .Rip Terry

My deepest, heart felt sympathies, to the girls, remaining family and friends. May your special memories help ease your sorrow, and keep Terry very much alive in your hearts.
I got to meet Terry, at a very young age, through my father working at Star Taxi, and me kicking around the stand.
Terry and dad became very good friends, and Terry was my younger brother's Godfather.
I remember visits to the Pye house, and meeting/getting to know the family.
Then there were absences as we grow up, and chance meetings, such as finding him in the park, between Portland Creek and Daniel's Hr. I was tenting it there that night; we fished together, and drank together...good memories for sure.
My last meeting of Terry, was meeting him at a dear lady's, Audrey Sheppard, funeral. I held the main door open for him, and l knew right away who he was. We chatted, and rehashed memories; Dad was particularly happy to reunite.
Terry was a good man, and the world is a better place, for having him in it. Virtual hugs to you all.

Terry was such a nice man. The Morris family always enjoyed catching up with him when he visited his girls each Christmas. Always good for a chat and a chuckle. We will all miss him.

So sad to hear of "Uncle" Terry's passing. I think of "Auntie" Gwen often and cherish the shared family vacations we used to have - especially the time in Terra Nova National Park. Dad and Terry made sure we got our boat ride and Gwen made sure we had our hike to the top of the mountain. I have a picture of Dad and Terry from another vacation standing next to Lucky the moose in Cormack...both with their hand on his head (Lucky was very much alive and liked to hang around Cormack campground that summer). Another memory of was of Terry and that old Jeep he used to have...I remember one very cold Friday evening in the middle of winter, "Auntie" Gwen, Susan, Allison and myself were just hoping and praying that the Jeep would make it up over that last hill to get us to the cabin in Bonne Bay Pond. We were so cold because the heater was not working but Gwen and Terry kept our minds on other things like singing a song or two. I also remember a very intense Canasta game every week with my parents and Terry and Gwen....brings smiles to my face. There are countless wonderful memories of our two families and I will cherish them with all my heart. Susan, Allison and families....sending you hugs and kisses. What a wonderful, kind and funny father you had. I will miss him very much.
