Catherine Caroline Sheppard Corner Brook, NL November 8, 1950 – May 10, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Catherine Caroline Sheppard announce her passing at her home on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at the age of 69 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Dexter, Tracey (Nick) and Vanessa; grandchildren: Alexander, Jonathon and Lyndon; sisters and brothers: Pearl, Fred (Pat), Dwight (Brenda), May (Henry), Manley, Walter (Irene) and Otto (Bonnie); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Effie Sheppard, partner of 32 years Winston Welsh, daughter-in-law Heather, brothers and sisters Thomas Sheppard Jr., Henry Caines, George Matthews, Philomena Verge, Doris Wells, Renie Genge and Kenneth Sheppard. Catherine was born and raised in River of Ponds, she worked at Maynard’s in Hawke’s Bay for many years before moving to Irishtown where she lived for 31 years and later moved to Corner Brook. She loved her job as a PCA until she retired at the age of 68 years. Her love was her family and her work. After Catherine retired she took up colouring and she enjoyed it immensely. Cremation has taken place and a burial will take place at a later date.
