Margaret Mary Lee (nee Staples) July 28, 1934 – May 12, 2020 Born and raised in Curling, NL, Margaret passed away peacefully, in her 86th year, at her family residence in Ontario, with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years Gerald Lee, her infant angel, Diane; her parents Stephen and Florence Staples and her sister Marie MacNutt and husband Murray MacNutt. Left to mourn with fond and loving memoires her children, William (Joanne), Joseph (Cindy), and Catherine (Donald); grandchildren, Veronica, Vicktoria (Scott), Jocelyn (Anthony), Vanessa (Brandon), Meghan, Jeremy (Gabriella), Adam (Jenny), Courtney (Joe) and Stacey (Paul); great grandchildren: Brianna, Eric, Riley, Rachael, Marion, Payton, Abigail, Baby Joe, Baby Jonathan; sisters Kathleen Connolly (Late James Connolly), Imelda Staples, Marion Playter (Laurie), Joan Wells (Randy); brothers Gregory Staples (Shirley), John Staples (Maxine); in-laws Ruby (Late William Lee), Jean (Late Don MacPherson), Nora (Late Len Russell), Late Frank Lee (Alice), Late George Lee (Mary), Late Ethel and Bill Tracy, Late Molly and Edgar Reid, Late Margaret and John Johnson, Late Joseph Lee; as well remembered by Dermot Lee (Ann), Clare Lee (Sue), and Derrick Lee (Sherri). As well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Also, everyone close to Margaret will always remember her love for playing cards and “Berry picking”. Flowers are blooming Spring is in the air Yet nothing seems right Because you’re not here The sun still shines The birds still sing Yet nothing seems right Not a single thing Our hearts will heal Time heals all wounds Our memories will hold us Til we meet again soon Just know you are loved The love will never fade As we lay you with pop And cherish memoires we have made. A private graveside service took place in Oshawa, Ontario on Friday, May 15th, 2020. A Mass and celebration of Margaret’s life will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jordan Guardian Angels.org, a cause that meant a great deal to Margaret and supported by her on behalf of her great granddaughter, Abigail Legge.
