Mary Ellen Stratton (nee McCarthy) April 11, 1962 – May 26, 2020 Massey Drive, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Ellen Stratton announce her passing on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 58 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 37 years Rod Stratton; son Michael (Stephanie) Stratton; daughter Sarah Stratton; grandchildren: Layla and Tegan Stratton; parents Kevin and Eva McCarthy; brothers and sister: Kevin (JoAnne) McCarthy, Kathleen (Grant) Payne and Sean (Anna Marie) McCarthy; father-in-law Rodney Stratton; sister-in-law Wanda (Rodney) Baldwin; nephews and nieces: David, Daniel, Kurt, Kyle, Liam, Emma and Terri; as well as a large circle of other relatives and many friends, especially her travel friends over the years. She was predeceased by her mother-in-law Jessie Stratton. Cremation has taken place, a private family visitation and service will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Mark’s Avenue, with interment at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
