James Stanley Turner Pasadena, NL May 14, 1928 – June 9, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Stanley Turner announce his passing on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at Western Long Term Care, Palliative Care Unit at the age of 92 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Helen (Kevin) Evans, Barry (Dianne) Turner, Cheryl (Paul) Quigley, Lorraine (Brendan) Skinner and Edward (Beverley) Turner; grandchildren: Heather, Jessika, Michael, Jonathon, Tyler, Kaitlyn and Nicholas; sisters and brothers: Kay Brenton, Marie George, Margaret Ryan, Gerald (Sharon) Turner, Cyril Turner, Lily (George) Wall, Tom (Nona) Turner and Bonnie (Bill) Bonnell; brother-in-law Leo Clarke; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret Turner, parents John and Nora Turner, brothers Andrew and Augustus Turner, sisters Christina (Bert) Kelly and Jean (Bill) Wall. A very special thank you to the Doctors, nurses and all staff at Western Memorial Regional Hospital 4th floor and Western Long Term Care Palliative Care. A private family viewing will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Mark’s Avenue. A private family service will be held on Monday, June 15 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with Father Gerard Patry officiating. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Pasadena. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Holy Rosary Parish in Pasadena or a charity of one’s choice.
