Richard James Allen Pasadena, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rick Allen announce his passing on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at the Palliative Care Unit, Western Health at the age of 55 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife Judy; daughters Holly Allen (Mark) and Brittany Allen; stepchildren Nicholas and Isabella Dennis; granddaughter Hailey Allen; father Jim Allen; sister Deloris Youden (Jeremy), brother-in-law Wayne; mother-in-law Christine Wheeler; brothers and sisters-in-law: Hilda Hackett (Calvin), Brendan Wheeler (Linda), Margie Elms (Greg), Jenny Stewart (Darren); nieces and nephews: Melanie, Jessie, Angie, Dwayne, Abigail, Amber, Brendan, Christopher, Zack and Ryan; as well as many extended family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed by his best buddy who never left his side, his beloved dog Ariel and cat Luna. Predeceased by his mother Florence Allen, sister Darlene Hickey; father-in-law Harold Wheeler and brother-in-law Terrance Wheeler. A special thank you to Shirley Larkin, and to the Doctors and Nurses at the Palliative Care Unit, Western Memorial Hospital and Dr. Callahan. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of Rick’s life will be announced at a later date. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Autism Society of NL. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Curling.
