Philomena Cornect Mainland, NL Nov. 7, 1941 – Jun. 27, 2020 It is with heavy hearts that the family of the Late Philomena Cornect (Greene) announce her passing on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL at the age of 78 years. She will be forever loved and missed by her children: Deborah Cornect, Denise Cornect, Della Cornect (Derry Jesso); grandchildren: Geniene Cornect (Denis Tourett), Julianne Cornect, Drake Cornect; great-granddaughter Jayla Tourett; sister Susan Flynn as well as many nieces, nephews other family and friends. She was pre-deceased by her husband John Cornect; parents Philomena (nee Cox) & Thomas Greene; brothers: Art, William, George (Janet), Thomas (Marjorie), Patrick, Stephen (Edna), Aloysius (June); sisters: Marion Bullen (Gordon, Kathleen Snook (Henry James), Stella (Glen Thorne:, Laverna Smith (Terry) and Sarah Hinks (Reginald). Due to the current government Covid-19 restrictions a private family viewing will take place. A private funeral service will take place at St. Anne’s Chapel, Mainland, NL with Father Lourdhu Raju Madanu officiating. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Mainland will take place following the service. As expressions of sympathy donations to a Charity of Ones’ Choice may be made in Philomena’s memory. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
