Garland Israel Hoyles
Sept. 28, 1946 -June 26, 2020
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Garland Hoyles on Friday, June 26, 2020 at Western Long-Term Care, Palliative Care Unit at the age of 73. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 29 years Amy; daughters Jennifer Pearce (Rod), Janice Hoyles; grandchildren Samantha, Nikki, Holly, step grandchildren: Chelsea & Miranda; brother Donald Hoyles (Joyce), sister Jane Halfyard; sisters and brothers-in-law Eliza (Joe), Dulcie (Don), Rita, Clifford (Bessie), Winnie (Wade), Fiona (Trevor) and his dear pet cat, Jewels. He was predeceased by his parents Obediah & Edith Hoyles, mother and father-in-law John & Frances McLean, brothers-in-law Terry Halfyard and Gideon Bailey, as well as numerous nieces, nephews’ other relatives and friends. Due to Covid-19 restrictions a private funeral service will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, 4 St. Marks Avenue with Reverend David Taylor officiating & burial at a later date. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
