It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mildred Bird announce her passing at Sudbury, Ontario on Sunday, March 29th, 2009 at the age of 81 years. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Catherine (Bruce) and son Silas (Irene); her grandchildren: Laura, Blair, David, Cleo and Sarah, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Hayward and daughter Joan. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley Goose Bay on Wednesday, April 1st between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place from St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Happy Valley on Thursday, April 2nd at 2:00 p.m. Interment following at the Anglican Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Andrew’s Anglican Church.
