Georgina Melva Pittman (nee Wight) Deer Lake, NL November 19, 1942 – July 5, 2020 Passed peacefully away on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at the Palliative Care Unit in Corner Brook, Georgina Melva Pittman after a courageous battle with Cancer at the age of 77 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Christopher (Nicole); son-in-law Michael Young; daughter-in-law Shelley Coleman; grandchildren: Andrew, Ethan, Noah, Olivia, Maggie and Conor; sisters: Blanche (Max) Chambers and Kay (Herb) Woodward; brothers: Douglas Wight, Paul (Karen) Wight and Seth White (Joanne); sisters-in-law: Rowena Gaulton, Hughena Wight, Frances Shears, Eileen Wight, Loretta Wight, Beatrice (John) Pinksen, Blanche (Henry) Blanchard and Sadie (Clarence) Pollard; brothers-in-law: Reg (Louise) Pittman and Allan (Bernie) Pittman; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John Pittman, daughter Beth-Ann Young, parents Stewart and Sarah Wight, brothers Lawrence, Stephen, Thomas and Maurice, parents-in-law Enos and Eliza Pittman. Due to Covid-19 Government Restrictions a private family viewing will take place. A private family funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 8 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Michael’s and All Angels Anglican Church, Deer Lake with Rev. Canon Paulette Bugden officiating. Interment to follow at Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery, Wight’s Road Deer Lake. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Islaview Foundation.
