Margaret Sara Bennett nee (Karpik), the daughter of Ketura Terriak and Sam Anala Saksarriak, later adopted by Adam and Ulrika Karpik was born in Hopedale on October 20, 1957. Margaret was baptized in Hopedale on November 10, 1957 by Brother F.M Grubb. Margaret received the Lord as her Savior when she became confirmed on Palm Sunday, April 5, 2005. The confirmation service was performed by Rev. Samuel Propsom. Margaret married John Bennett in Goose Bay on August 8, 1981 by Rev. Francis Buckle. Together they had three children; Leonard, John and Sybilla Bennett. She was in a common-law relationship with Johannes Mitsuk until his death. Margaret was predeceased by her biological mother Ketura Terriak, her biological father Sam Anala Saksariak; Parents Ulrika and Adam Karpik; Brother Lucas Terriak, sister Sabrina Flowers; her husband John Bennett and her common-law partner Johannes Mitsuk. Margaret leaves to mourn her sons Leonard Bennett (Lisa), John George Bennett; daughter Sybilla Bennett. Her sisters Nora Ford, Doris Greenleaves and Zippo Karpik; her grandchildren Samuel, Melissa, John-Martin, Stephanie and Roderick; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Margaret was called to rest on Friday, July 3, 2020 in Hopedale; at the time of her passing Margaret reached the full age of 62 years, 9 months and 2 weeks. Margaret took great joy in her grandchildren and all who loved her. She will be sorely missed.
