It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dorothy Christina Power announce her passing on Monday, July 20, 2020 at her residence in Corner Brook at the age of 72 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her only son Jason Power; special nephew Gordon (Diane) Power; sisters: Mary Bullen, Madeline (Keith) Huxter, Sheila (Jim) Travers and Meta Power; sister-in-law Anna Marie Power; godchildren: Joelene Power and Gordon Power Jr.; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Florence Power, sister Hannah Parsons, brother Gordon Power, brothers-in-law Ted Parsons, John Bullen and Brian Doyle. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with Rev. Alice Moores officiating. As expressions of sympathy, flowers accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation.
