It is with great sadness that the family of the late Laura Price (nee Anstey) announces her peaceful passing at her family residence on Saturday, April 4th, 2009 at the age of 90 years. Laura will be sadly missed by her six children: Daphne Leonard (Jerry), Wilson Price (Edna), Corner Brook, Sandra Kelly (Jerry), Christina Kelly (Wayne), Halifax, NS, Larry Price (Paula), Debbie Bruce (Leo), Corner Brook; fourteen grandchildren: Stephen (Rosilyn), Corner Brook, Sheri (Tim), Toronto, ON, Jason (Heidi), Sussex, NB, Gregory (Dianne), Corner Brook, Dennis (Melanie), Sussex, Lisa (Jon), Florida , Lori (Charles), Kentville, NS, Justin (Sherie), Bedford, NS, Shane, Toronto, ON, Paul (Lori), Paradise, David (Jesica), Corner Brook, Laura (Tony), Paradise, Adam, Corner Brook, and Nicholas, St. John’s; 21 great grandchildren: Drew, Sophie, Ryley, Shayneisha, Andrew, Aaron, Elizabeth, Margot, Mia, Braeden, Dylan, Lucas, Hunter, Lillyin, Emma, Anna, Alex, Luke, Jorjah, Phoebe and Elizabeth; sister: Amy Philip, Ohio; brothers: Doyle Anstey (Leila), Toronto, ON, Adolphus (Hannah), Gander, Mackenzie (Lorraine), Saskatchewan, Allan (Mildred), Herring Neck and Tom Gidge, Fairbanks; sister-in-law: Marie Gidge, Fairbanks; special friend: Debbie Jones and special caregiver, Mary Bennett; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband, Chesley, July 27th, 1999 and parents, Ford and Olive Anstey. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 7th at 2:00 p.m. from the First United Church, Park St., Rev. Dr. Wayne Cole officiating, followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Ave., Sunday evening from 7- 9:00 p.m. Monday from 2-4 and 7-9, and Tuesday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation, First United Church Restoration Fund or to the charity of ones choice.
