Alphonsus Benoit Marches Point, NL Feb. 3, 1929 – July 28, 2020 It is with heavy hearts that the family of the Late Alphonsus Benoit announce his passing on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL at the age of 91 years. He is survived by his children Sheila (Vince) Young, April (Gord) Wheeler, Edgar (Aly) Benoit, Robert (Sandi) Benoit, Edmond (Monica) Benoit, Joanne (Paul) Gaudet, Octave (Patti) Benoit, Donna (Glynn) Benoit; caregiver Petrina Benoit; grandchildren Angel (Pete) Curtis, Morgan, Calina, Twila, Diego, Adriana, Trevor, Eddy, Colton, Quentin, Caiomi, Jullian, Heather, Courtney, Amber, Kyla, Octave, Noah, Jonah; 11 great-grandchildren, siblings: Evelyn, Columbus (Jean) Benoit, Ann Marie (Martin) Jesso, Madonna (Octave) Simon and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was pre-deceased by his wife Alma Benoit (nee Baker); parents John and Annie Benoit (nee Chaisson); siblings: Alfred, Lillian, Hilda, Terence; grandchildren Angell, Randy, Briana, and Martin. The funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of the Cape Parish, Cape St. George, NL with Father Lourdhu Maju Madanu officiating. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Marches Point, NL will take place following the service. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to a charity of ones’ choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
