Mary (Nellie) Bridget Brake Kippens, NL July 13, 1932 – Aug. 1, 2020 It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Mary (Nellie) Brake announce her passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the age of 88 years. She will be forever remembered, missed and loved by her Children: Dianne (Bill) Scott, Judy (Ivan) Gosse, Vivian (Gerard) Bennett, Aloysius (Suzanne), Ross (Jenny), Harold (Iona), Brian (Loretta), Jerome (Winnifred), Wayne (Joanne), Gerard (Vivian), Michael (Marilyn); siblings: Leona, step-siblings: Anne Marie, Michael and Martin; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was pre-deceased by her husband Michael; Son Steven; grandson Caelan; Parents, Wilfred & Violet LaSaga; brothers, Martin, Steven, Stanley, Vincent, Edward and sister, Whilomeana (Meana); step-mothers: Winnifred, Jean and grammy LaSaga. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, a private viewing will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL. The Funeral Mass will take place at St. Stephen’s Parish, Stephenville, NL on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 2 p.m. with Father Kris Mekala officiating. Due to social restrictions, only 50 people may attend the service. The service will be live streamed on the facebook page of Hannah Jade. Interment in the Roman Catholic section of Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Stephenville, NL will take place following the service. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to a Charity of Ones’ Choice.
