DOREEN GLADYS BRAYE (nee O’DRISCOLL) December 10, 1954 – April 4, 2009 CORNER BROOK, NL It is with great sadness that we the family of the late Doreen (O’Driscoll) Braye announces her passing Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Palliative Care on April 4th, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Doreen leaves to mourn her loving husband Gary of 30 years; daughter: Megan (Blair Wheeler), Edmonton, AB, and her precious granddaughter Nadia, Edmonton, AB; as well leaving to mourn is her twin sister, Pauline (Keith) Locke, Corner Brook, Frances (William) Hurley, Baie Verte, Marie (Guy) White, Deer Lake, Eileen (Brook) Bowers, Nippers Harbour, Mary O’Driscoll, Ontario, Jane (John), Wiseman, Deer Lake, Betty Anne Bennett, Deer Lake; brothers: David (Ann) O’Driscoll, New Brunswick, Tony (Betty) O’Driscoll, Howley, Michael (Bernadette) O’Driscoll, Baie Verte; mother and father -in-law: Rex and Gay Braye, Corner Brook; sisters-in-law: Lisa Braye, Halifax, Diane (Gordon) Power, Corner Brook; brothers-in-law: Robert (Sandy) Braye, Halifax; special niece and nephew: Stephanie and Christopher Locke, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Doreen was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Mary (Hurley) O’Driscoll. Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses on Palliative Care, your kindness will never be forgotten; thank you to Pauline Murphy and Diane Beck for all your help in such a trying time. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Sunday evening, 7-9:00 p.m. and Monday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 7th, at 2:00 p.m. from All Saints church, Clarence Street. Reverend Derek Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dafffodil Place or to the charity of ones choice.
