Dulcie Melinda Bennett Deer Lake, NL September 9, 1926 - August 10, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dulcie Melinda Bennett announce her passing on Monday, August 10, 2020 at the Palliative Care Unit at the age of 93 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Bill (Charmaine) and daughter Theresa; grandchildren: Michelle, Dennis, Michael, Peter, Sherry, Betty, Roger and Isabella; great-grandchildren: Caleb, Daniel, Carissa, Thomas, Meridith, Duncan, Cane, Brody, Ethan, Tori, Justin and Noah; step-granddaughters: Sherria-Lee and Leona; great-great-grandchildren: Brier, Cohen and Kaydence; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband William Bennett, parents Abe and Nora Carter, daughter Shirley Short, son-in-law Norman McLeod, brothers Fred Osmond and Edward Carter, sister Liz Carter. A very special thank you to the Doctors and nurses at the palliative care unit for their exceptional care. Also, special thanks to her niece Ella Cornect, who has gone above and beyond for Dulcie over the years. As well as her grandson Roger Short, who has been a huge support over this past week. Due to Covid-19 Government restrictions a private family viewing will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Deer Lake. A private family funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 13 at 10:00 a.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, Deer Lake with Rev. Canon Paulette Bugden officiating.
