Obituary of Hulda Lyall

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hulda Lorna Doone Lyall (nee: Hunter) announce her passing on Monday, August 10, 2020, surrounded by her loving family at the Health Labrador Corporation Long Term Care Center in Happy Valley-Goose Bay at the age of 86 years.
Leaving to Mourn husband of 63 years married, Robert, son Kenneth (Susan), daughters Sybil King (Robert), Rose Webb (Bernard pre-deceased), Shirley Janes (Keith), Frances Bell (William), Julie Louvelle (Gerard), Christine Chaulk, and Winnifred Healey (Gerald), 22 grand-children and 14 great-grandchildren.
Also leaving to mourn, brothers Jim Nitsman and Joe Hunter (Robina), sisters Ellen Ford (Wilfred) and Sarah McWhirt, in-laws Ralph & Louise, Ron & Miriam and many nieces, nephews and cousins, her church sisters and bretherns, many other family and friends, especially her lifelong and dear friend Beth Solis.
She was pre-deceased by parents Jonas Hunter and Sybilla Nitsman, step father Eli Nitsman, brothers Markus Hunter, Phillip Hunter, Renatus Hunter, Simeon Hunter, John Lampe, and sister Sabina Flowers.
Pallbearers (grandsons): Trevor, Stephen, Jacob, Terry, Wallace and Jeremy.
A special thank you to Dr. Patterson for the care given while in the LTC, Dr. Fitzgerald for the care given before being admitted in the LTC; and the staff Health Labrador Long Term Care Department and Palliative Care. Words alone cannot express the gratitude from the family for the amazing care given to Hulda for her duration of her stay in the Home. Each and every staff member are true angels on earth.
Due to Covid-19 Government restrictions a private family viewing will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at the Moravian Church on Wednesday, August 12. Interment to follow at Moravian Church Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers will be accepted, as well as donations may be made to Moravian Church, or if you choose, celebrate kindness. Be kind to yourself and to others.
