GOOSNEY ELSIE MILDRED (MILLIE), née Howe March 7, 1918 – August 10, 2020 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Millie Goosney on Monday August 10, 2020 at the age of 102. She leaves to mourn her daughter, Sylvia Rowsell (Cecil), son Dale Goosney (Louise); grandchildren: Blair Rowsell (Sharon), Lori Pittman (Alonzo), Danika Goosney (Adrian) and Julian Goosney (Stacey). Great-grandchildren: Alyssa Raponi (Mat), Devin, Brianna, Jordan and Henri; great-great grand-daughter: Hannah, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Goosney, her grandson Trent Rowsell and all her siblings, Mary, Jenny, Alonzo, Tom, Cecil and Eliza. Millie served with the WMRH Ladies Auxiliary and was a long-time volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Services, where she made numerous good friends. Our sincere thanks to Dr. Robert Young, the staff of WMRH and Bayshore Estates for their care and support. Also, a special thanks to the Palliative Care nurses for both their compassion and professionalism. Due to Covid-19 government regulations a private memorial service will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue on Thursday, August 13, 2020 with Reverend David Russell officiating. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Western Regional Hospital Foundation.
