It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Dianne Young announce her passing on Friday, September 11, 2020 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook, NL at the age of 69 years.
She will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, especially her husband Michael Young (BSGLTCC); mother Ida Colombe (Shallop Cove, NL); children: Michele (Tony) Sharpe (Stephenville Crossing, NL), Martin (Terri) Young (Georgetown, ON), Camelia Young (Shallop Cove, NL), Amanda (Keith) Rumbolt (Grande Prairie, AB), Heidi Young (Shallop Cove, NL), Mya (Jason) Bradshaw (Calgary, AB); grandchildren: Ashley Young (Shallop Cove, NL), Gage Alexander (Grande Prairie, AB), Valerie Young (Georgetown, ON), JR Young (Georgetown, ON), Maddison Bradshaw (Calgary, AB); sisters: Linda Pieroway, Laverne Halbot, Dale King (Gerard); brother Raymond (Diann) Colombe as well as many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was pre-deceased by her father Frank Colombe and granddaughter Natasha Young.
Dianne was a very strong, quiet, gentle woman. She worked hard throughout her life for her children and grandchildren. Although she struggled through Kidney disease for the last 19 years she would never complain and took each day for what it brought to her. She is another bright angel to watch over us.
Our family would like to send a world of thanks to Dr. Stephen Murphy and all the dialysis staff at STRH. They were mom's extended family. They worked hard and took wonderful care of mom. Mom could go to dialysis and nap as she knew she was comfortable and safe in their caring hands. Many thanks to the emergency room staff at STRH and WMRH for their care and compassion at such a difficult time. Thank you to the ICU staff at WMRH for their support, compassion and care through mom's last days. All these kindnesses will never be forgotten.
The funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Parish, St. George’s, NL with Father Maurice O’Quinn officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Shallop Cove, NL following the service. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to a charity of ones’ choice.
