July 16, 1928 -September 12, 2020
It is with great sadness the family of Glenn Lewis Chaulk announce his passing on Saturday, September 12th, 2020 at Western Long-Term Palliative Care at the age of 92 years. Leaving to mourn with fond & loving memories, his wife of 70 years Louise (nee Gosse), five loving children Brenda (Bruce) King, Gary (Dorothy) Chaulk, Karen (David) Dawe, Brian (Bernadette) Chaulk, Deborah (Rod) Wheeler; seven loving grandchildren Carolyn (Geoff) Sparkes, Stacey (Trevor) Savory, Shawn (Janet) Dawe, Mark King, Heather (Ian) Wicks, Andrea (Steven) McCarthy, Jason (Mel) Chaulk; seven precious great grandchildren Liam Dawe, Jessica Sparkes, Meredith Dawe, Jonathan Sparkes, Owen McCarthy, Corey McCarthy and Luke Wicks; sister Lorraine McAllister of Gold River, BC; sisters & brothers-in-law Jean Sceviour, Eileen Gosse, Janet Chaulk, Ed (Rose) Gosse, Charles (Sylvia) Gosse along with a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Mabel Chaulk, mother & father -in law John & Beatrice Gosse, brothers & sisters-in-law Allan (Lillian) Chaulk, Boyd (Gertrude) Chaulk and Norman Chaulk, sisters and brothers-in-laws Edna (Heber) Torraville, Louise (John) English, Vera (Wilfred) Lang, Emma (Clyde) Rose, Azariah Gosse, Herbert (Jean) Gosse.
In keeping with his wish’s cremation has taken place. We would like to send a special thank you to all staff at Long Tern Care 4 South for your dedicated care over the past nine months, the Nursing staff and Doctors in the Emergency Department at Western Memorial Hospital for their kindness and help at a very difficult time and Nursing staff at Western Long Term Care Palliative Unit for their care and kindness in his last few hours. Glenn served with the Merchant Navy. A private service will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Thursday, September 17th with Reverend Roberta Woodman officiating. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Cuddle Project Palliative Care www.westernhealth.nl.ca , Food Bank Network of the Bay of Islands Ministerial Association www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/29189 or a charity of ones choice.
