Marigold Edith Coates Sept 30, 1931 – Sept 14, 2020 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Marigold Coates, on Monday September 14, 2020 at Corner Brook Long Term Care at the age of 88 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children William (Doris), Bob (Margaret), Roger (Barbara), Darlene Martin (Rodney), Shawn (Tina); grandchildren: Danny, Eddie, Jason, Denis, April, Daphne, Annie, Heather, Briana, Caitlyn, Isaac, Noah, Paige, Tammy and a large number of great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren, sister Vera Neville, sister-in-law Annie Banton, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Coates, September 29, 2002, daughter Loretta Coates, grandsons Clayton & Bobby, parents Wallace & Jemima Young, siblings Roy (Bessie) Young, Russell (Margaret) Young, William (Elizabeth) Young, Clayton (Viola) Young, Sylvia O’Quinn, Sidney (Bernice) Young; brothers and sisters-in-law: Kenneth (Alma) Coates, Claude (Jean) Coates, Meta (Gordon) Pitcher, Fred Banton. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Salvation Army Temple, Citadel Drive with Major Frank Pittman officiating to a maximum of 100 people as per Government Covid-19 Restrictions. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army Temple 177 O'Connell Drive, Corner Brook NL A2H 7J5
