Cora Marie Quinton (nee Kelly) April 3, 1941 – Sept. 23, 2020 Corner Brook, NL It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Cora Quinton announce her passing after a short illness at home, while surrounded by her family on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2020 at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband William (Bill) of 62 years; daughter Donna Matthews, son, Derrick (Kim) Quinton; four precious grandchildren: Jonathon (Samantha), Matthew , Joshua and Hannah ; sisters, Joan Trahey and Nancy Froude (Gerry); brothers: Bill Kelly (Joan), Gary Kelly, Ted Kelly (Mary) and Kevin Kelly (Florence); brothers and sisters-in-law: Max Quinton, Lillian Sampson (Jim) and John Plakiotos; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, and her puppy Zoe. She is predeceased by her parents James and Mary Kelly; son-in-law Allan Matthews; Brothers, Leonard (Frances) Kelly and Michael (Elizabeth) Kelly, Sister Ida Plakiotos, in-laws William Trahey , Lozanne Kelly and Bonnie Mouland. Granting her wishes, cremation has taken place, a burial service will take place on Saturday, September 26th, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Townsite Anglican Cemetery, Montgomery Street with Reverend Roberta Woodman officiating. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
