It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Bernice Harriett Squires on Friday, October 9th, 2020 at the Dr. G.B Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville at the age of 75.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her two children, Nina (Frank) Webber and Stephen (Michelle) Squires; Two grandchildren; Adam and Jasper; Brothers, Norman (Barb), Robert (Shirley), Melvin (Marilyn): Sisters; Bessie (John), Doris (Michael) and Sandra (Paul). She also leaves behind a brother in law James (Margaret) Squires, along with a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her husband Jacob and parents Daniel and Nina (George) Hindy.
Bernice loved children and showed her love of them by working as a Nursery attendant, a Sunday school teacher and with the Crusaders. For most of her life, Bernice served the Lord, in unison with her husband.
There will be a private family viewing on Friday from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue. Funeral Service will take place at First Pentecostal Church on Saturday, October 17th with Pastor Larry Soper officiating. The interment will take place at Mount Patricia Cemetery. Due to COVID 19 Government Regulations, if you wish to attend the funeral, you must pre-register by calling First Pentecostal Church on Friday during regular office hours of 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
