It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eldon Craig Letto announce his passing on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the Western Long Term Care, Palliative Care Unit at the age of 73 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 50 years Sybil (nee Butt); son Craig Letto (Candice Sparkes); grandchildren: Paige Letto, Tyler Dahl (Jessica) and Austin Sparkes (Niki); great-granddaughter Ilha Sparkes; sisters and brothers: Gloria (Malcolm) Mercer, Sharon (Benny) Wells, Brenda (Tom) Crawford, Ellen (Clarence) Rose, Cliff (Elizabeth) Thorne, Junior (Allana) Thorne, Glenn (Lucy) Thorne, Brent (Gail) Thorne, Len (Eleanor) Thorne, Mary Alice (Oz) Gould, Melinda (Derrick) Letto, Trudy Letto (Troy Chambers), Calvin (Alice) Letto, Allister (Elva) Letto, Doug (Joan) Letto and Roy Letto; step-mother Flora Letto; sisters and brothers-in-law: Audrey (Piercey) Flynn, Priscilla (Richard) Flynn, Bert (Dorothy) Butt, Manuel (Olive) Butt, Mervyn (Eddy) Butt, Denzel Philips and Evelyn Butt; special friends: Ralph and Sharon Jones, Roy and Jean Thomas, Gerald and Christine Thistle, Earl and Rose Gould, Grace and Russ Drover; as well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son Conrad Letto, granddaughter Hope Mary May Letto, parents Stewart Letto and Emma (Nelson) Thorne (nee Buckle), parents-in-law Solomon and Winnifred Butt, brother-in-law Jimmy Butt. A private family viewing will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake. A private family service will be held on Thursday, October 29 at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Deer Lake with Rev. Canon Paulette Bugden officiating. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
