Monica Joy Jennings (nee White) Hughes Brook, NL August 23, 1931 – October 26, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Monica Joy Jennings announce her passing on Monday, October 26, 2020 at Corner Brook Long Term Care at the age of 89 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 63 years George; children: David (Judy) Jennings, Bob (Trudy) Jennings and Rex (Glenda) Jennings; grandchildren: Heather (Jody), Vicky, Ashley (Geoff), Scott (Rebecca), Stephanie (Mark) and Zach; great-grandchildren: Belle and Jack; sister Joan Frampton; brother Robert White; brothers-in-law: Garland (Shirley) Jennings, Melvin (Norma) Jennings; sisters-in-law: Violet Bell, Lorna Ford and Florzel Jennings; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Herbert and Joyce White, sister Netha White, brothers Hollie, Garland and Bryon White. Special thank you to the nurses and staff of Corner Brook Long Term Care 3 North and Dr. Young for their care over the years. A private family visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue. A private family funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29 at Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with Rev. John van Vliet officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to First United Church, Corner Brook.
