Obituary of Sarah Irene Sheppard

Sarah Irene Sheppard April 18, 1944 – October 27, 2020 Sarah Irene Sheppard passed peacefully away Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Western Long-Term Care, Palliative Unit at the age of 76 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Left to mourn with broken hearts are her children, Lisa (John) Childs, Sherry (Brent) Sheppard, Trudy (Carl) King, Joe (Sheri) Sheppard; her beloved grandchildren: Julian (Jacinda), Janine (Jesse), Jacinta (Geoffrey), Lucas, Tyler, Nathan, Halie, Sammi Jo, Joshua, Bradley and Maddison; great grandchildren: Paislee, Parker, Lauren and Luke; partner, Bertrand Baker and his family, Kerry (Chris), Danny, Darren (Kim) and Austin, Jason (Vanessa), Evan and Cameron, Terry Foster, Mikaela and Marcus. Sisters-in-law, Marie Sheppard, Shirley Sheppard; brothers-in-law, David (Bernice) Sheppard and Linton Gilbert, as well numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, parents Willoughby and Sarah Jane, Step father Morgan Foote; brothers: Garfield (Verna), Frank, Clyde (Ruby) and sister Phyllis (Cyril); sister & brothers-in-law Myra (George) Robinson, Pearl Gilbert, Harold Sheppard; Parents-in-law Arthur & Nellie Sheppard, step father-in-law Thomas Sheppard; Step Daughter Wanda Foster and step grandson Darryl Baker. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday from 7-9 pm to a maximum of 50 people at St. James Anglican Church, Lark Harbour followed by the funeral service on Saturday, October 31st at 2:00 pm to a maximum of 100 people in compliance with Covid-19 Government Regulations, officiated by Reverend Effie Organ. Interment will follow at the Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to St. James Anglican Church or Children’s Wish Foundation www.childrenswish.ca.
