The family of the late Jerry Decker announce his peaceful passing on October 30, 2020 in Happy Valley Goose Bay, at the age of 79 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Vivian Decker; Children: Nellie (Joey), Georgina (Kenny) and Winnie (Serge); Grandchildren: Matthew (Crystal), Joel, Kyle, Trevor (Frankie), Stephanie (Sheldon), Andrew, Valerie (Vincent), Janna, Joshua. Great-Grandchildren: Gracie, Joey, Brooklyn, Bianca, Nikita, Ryan, Samuel, Alyssia and James. Sisters: Nellie, Eva and Julie. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Edna (nee Strangemore) and Eric Decker; brother Lloyd; Sisters: Rhoda, Dorcus and Sybil. Due to current restrictions there will be a private immediate family visitation. Private Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 2nd, 2020 from Fillatre Funeral Home, Happy Valley Goose Bay, with Rev. Nellie Thomas officiating with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations will be graciously accepted by the family to aid in funeral expenses. Special thanks to the nursing staff that showed such love and compassion for Jerry. “The only thing that meant more than fishing and the outdoors was the love for his family.”
